Hatfield Aerodrome Quarry is a proposed project to extract essential materials from a site in Hertfordshire and then restore it to a natural reserve and community facilities. We worked with the project owners, Brett Aggregates, the largest independent producer of sand and gravel in the UK, to create a site with the core objective to inform the local community about the plans.
Using their existing branding and corporate identity we designed and built a modern website that fit well with their other digital assets. The site was created to work well on all forms of devices – from small mobiles to large computer screens – and to be easy to navigate no matter the user’s level of internet savvy-ness.
Designed with a combination of strong light and dark colour palette and a wealth of quality photography.
Ease-of-use was a prime concern because of the nature of the site. Many users are expected to be infrequent website browsers.
