General Questions

K
L
Do you work with businesses like mine?

We work with a wide range of organisations, from sole traders just getting started through to established companies and charitable groups. We enjoy the variety and can usually shape a solution that suits both your goals and your budget. If you want to know if we would be a good fit drop us a message.

K
L
What makes working with 77 Rockets different?

Every project is a little different, so we stay flexible. Typically, things start with a discovery chat to understand what you need and see if we are a good fit. From there, we agree the details, get the paperwork sorted, and move into the build. Throughout the project, we keep you updated, share ideas and visuals, and make sure you feel confident and involved at every stage.

K
L
Where are you based, and do you work nationwide?

Our studio is based in the heart of Leicester city centre, with the team working in a hybrid way between the studio and home. We work with clients all over the UK and often never meet with clients in real life, using video calls, email, and messaging to keep everything moving smoothly. That said, it’s always great to sit down with a client and talk a project through face-to-face.

K
L
How does working with 77 Rockets actually work?

Every project is a little different, so we stay flexible. Typically, things start with a discovery chat to understand what you need and see if we are a good fit. From there, we agree the details, get the paperwork sorted, and move into the build. Throughout the project, we keep you updated, share ideas and visuals, and make sure you feel confident and involved at every stage.

K
L
What do you need from me to get started?

We work as collaboratively as possible, so understanding your business, goals, and ideas early on is really important to us. That insight forms the foundation of the project, combined with our experience and practical know-how.

K
L
How involved do I need to be during the project?

That’s largely up to you. Some clients like to be closely involved and check in regularly, while others prefer to hand things over and catch up at key points. We’re comfortable working either way and will adapt to whatever level of involvement suits you and the project.

K
L
What if I am not technical at all?

This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and there’s really no need to worry. Working with a web team like us means the technical side is taken care of for you. In the same way you don’t need to understand how your car works to drive it, you don’t need technical knowledge to work with us on a web project. That’s our job.

K
L
How do you communicate during a project?

That depends on what works best for you. Some clients like to meet face to face over a coffee, while others prefer phone calls, email, or messaging. We’re happy to communicate in whatever way feels most comfortable and practical for you.

K
L
Are you a one-off supplier or a long-term partner?

Both. Many of our clients have worked with us for years, coming back as their websites, branding, or businesses evolve. Others work with us on a single project and move on, which is absolutely fine too. We’re here when you need us, whether that’s once or long term.

K
L
Is there a minimum project size you work on?

We work on projects of all sizes, from sole traders and small businesses through to national organisations. That said, because of the level of experience and care we bring to our work, we don’t usually take on projects under £1,500.

Web Design Questions

K
L
How long does a typical website project take?

Most website projects take around 8 to 10 weeks from start to finish. Timelines can vary depending on feedback, content, and how quickly decisions are made. In some cases, it’s possible to fast-track a project if the client is working to a very tight timeline.

K
L
Will my website work properly on mobiles and tablets?

Yes. For some businesses, a large percentage of visitors arrive on mobile, especially from social media. For others, especially sites targeting business users, desktop use is more common. Either way, we make sure your website works properly and feels easy to use across all screen sizes.

K
L
Will my website be fast and easy to use?

Speed and usability are core considerations in every project we do. Good hosting plays a big part, but so does how the site is designed and built. We focus on clean layouts, sensible page structure, and efficient builds so the site feels quick and easy to use for real people, not just search engines.

K
L
What platform do you build websites on?

All of our non-e-commerce websites are built using WordPress. For online shops, we usually use WooCommerce or Shopify. WooCommerce is our preference, but in some cases Shopify is the better fit, and we’ll always advise honestly.

K
L
Do you help with website content and structure?

We do. Some clients arrive with content ready to go, while others don’t. Either way, we’ll help shape the structure of the site and advise on what content is needed where.

We focus on clarity and flow so visitors can quickly understand what you do and what to do next. Site structure is a core part of what we do, and we also have professional copywriters available if a project needs it.

K
L
Is SEO considered during the design process?

Your website being found online is key to pretty much every business website, so SEO is considered from the very start, not added on at the end and is at the heart of every site we create. That includes site structure, page hierarchy, loading speed, and making sure the site is easy for search engines to understand. We won’t promise overnight rankings, but we will make sure the foundations are right.

K
L
Can I update the website myself once it is live?

Once the site is live, we make sure everything is running properly and that you’re comfortable using it. From there, you can either manage the site yourself or continue working with us for updates, improvements, and ongoing support.

In most cases, we recommend hosting the site with us. This allows us to properly look after performance, security, updates, and backups, and means we can step in quickly if anything needs attention.

K
L
What if I do not like the initial design direction?

We usually start with a single strong design direction rather than lots of weaker options. Most of the time this lands well, but if it doesn’t, we’re happy to revisit and rethink. Our goal is always to create something you and your users genuinely like; after all, our reputation depends on it.

K
L
Can you redesign or improve an existing website?

Yes. We regularly work with existing websites to improve performance, structure, and design. Sometimes that means making targeted changes, and other times a full rebuild makes more sense. We’ll recommend the approach that best suits your goals.

K
L
Can you add new features to the site later?

Absolutely. We build sites with flexibility in mind, so new pages, features, or functionality can be added as your business grows. We’ll also advise if something makes sense to build in from the start or is better added later.

K
L
What happens after the website goes live?

Once the site is live, we make sure everything is running properly and that you’re comfortable using it. From there, you can either manage the site yourself or continue working with us for updates, improvements, and ongoing support.

In most cases, we recommend hosting the site with us. This allows us to properly look after performance, security, updates, and backups, and means we can step in quickly if anything needs attention.

K
L
Do you offer ongoing support and maintenance?

Yes. We strongly recommend that websites we build are hosted with us. Hosting within our own environment allows us to manage updates, security, performance, and backups properly, and to resolve issues quickly and effectively.

If a site is hosted elsewhere, our ability to help with ongoing issues is limited. In those situations, problems often sit outside our control, which can make support slower or less effective. Keeping hosting and support together ensures we can properly look after your site now and in the future.

E-Commerce Questions

K
L
Is WooCommerce the right choice for my business?

WooCommerce is a great option for many businesses, but the platform is only one part of the picture. Deciding to sell online also means thinking about ongoing marketing, advertising, fulfilment, and customer service. We’ll help you decide whether WooCommerce is the right fit based on how you plan to sell, manage products, and grow, rather than just choosing a platform because it’s popular.

K
L
Do you build small online shops as well as large ones?

Yes. We work with businesses at all stages, from small shops with a handful of products to larger stores with more complex requirements. The approach may differ, but the care and attention we put into the build stays the same regardless of size.

K
L
How do payments work on my website?

There are several payment options available depending on your setup. While PayPal is still supported, we usually recommend Stripe for WooCommerce stores because it offers a smoother checkout experience for customers. For Shopify sites, we typically use Shopify Payments.

For certain types of specialist or regulated businesses, alternative payment providers may be more appropriate. We’ll talk you through the options and help you choose a setup that works well for both you and your customers.

K
L
Can I manage products, orders, and stock myself?

Yes, and most clients do. You’ll be able to add and edit products, manage orders, and keep track of stock levels yourself. We provide training as part of the project so you’re comfortable using the system, and if you’d rather not manage everything alone, we can also offer help and ongoing support.

K
L
Will my online shop be secure?

Yes. Security is a key consideration from the start. This includes secure hosting, regular software updates, and sensible configuration of the store itself. When your site is hosted with us, we can actively maintain and monitor it, which helps reduce the risk of issues and keeps everything running smoothly.

K
L
Do you help with shipping, tax, and checkout setup?

Yes, this is all part of the service. We help set up shipping rules, tax rates, and checkout processes that make sense for how your business operates. We focus on keeping things clear for customers while making the admin side manageable for you.

K
L
Can my e-commerce site grow as my business grows?

Yes. The platforms we use are flexible and proven at scale, which means your store can grow alongside your business. That might involve adding more products, new features, integrations, or higher traffic volumes over time.

As your store grows, we can also move you onto a higher-powered hosting setup if needed. Hosting your site with us makes that process straightforward, allowing us to scale performance and resources without disruption as demand increases.

K
L
Can you connect my shop to other systems or tools?

Yes. We have experience connecting online stores to a range of third-party systems, including shipping providers, warehouse management tools, and external sales channels. We’ll always aim for solutions that are reliable and appropriate for your setup, rather than overly complex.

K
L
What ongoing support is available for online stores?

We offer both ongoing support packages and ad-hoc help, depending on what suits you best. Some clients like having us on hand regularly, while others just need occasional assistance. Either way, you’re not left on your own once the store is live.

K
L
What happens if something goes wrong with my store?

If something goes wrong, we’re here to help. That might be a small issue or something more serious. When your store is hosted with us, we can quickly investigate problems and, if needed, roll back to a previous version to restore service while we fix the issue properly.

Logos and Branding Questions

K
L
Do I actually need branding or just a logo?

A logo on its own rarely does enough. While people often ask for “just a logo” to save money, without some basic branding around it the logo doesn’t really get a chance to work. Even a simple set of colours, fonts, and usage guidelines helps create consistency and makes the logo feel purposeful rather than isolated.

K
L
Can you work with an existing logo or brand?

Yes. In many cases, we can evolve an existing logo or brand rather than starting from scratch. A lot of branding projects are about evolution rather than revolution – building on what’s already working, refining what isn’t, and bringing things up to date without losing recognition.

K
L
What is included in a branding project?

That depends on what you need. Some projects focus on a logo and a simple brand guide, while others follow a more in-depth process with branding applied across things like stationery, social media, signage, vehicles, and more. We’ll shape the scope around how and where the brand will actually be used.

K
L
How does branding fit alongside website design?

Branding and website design often go hand in hand, as a website is one of the main places people experience a brand. Developing both together can help ensure everything feels consistent, professional, and aligned with how you want to be perceived.

K
L
Is branding a standalone service?

Yes. Branding works very well as a standalone project and is often commissioned on its own. Many clients come to us specifically to refine or develop their brand before tackling anything else.

While branding can be combined with website design if needed, there’s no requirement to do both at the same time. A strong brand can exist independently and be applied across websites, print, and other materials when the time is right.

K
L
Will my branding work across print and social media?

Yes. A well-designed brand should work everywhere, from print and packaging to social media and digital advertising. Making sure the branding translates across different formats is a key part of the process.

K
L
Can you refresh a brand without starting again?

Often, yes. Refreshing a brand can be more challenging than starting from scratch, but it’s usually possible. The aim is to improve clarity and consistency while keeping the parts of the brand that people already recognise.

That might mean keeping your existing logo while refreshing things like colour palette, typography, or how the brand is applied across different materials.

K
L
How long does a branding project usually take?

Branding projects can take anywhere from two to eight weeks, depending on the scope and how involved the process is. We’ll always give you a clear idea of timings at the start.

K
L
How involved will I be in the branding process?

We’ll start by talking through your goals, values, and what you want the brand to achieve. That insight helps shape the creative direction from the outset.

From there, we lead the process and develop one or two strong brand directions for you to review and refine. Your input is important throughout, but we use our experience to guide decisions and keep the project focused and on track.

K
L
How do you make sure the brand feels like my business?

That comes from understanding your business properly. We take time to talk things through, carry out research, look at your industry and competitors, and explore how you want to be seen. The goal is always a brand that feels authentic, not generic.
